17. I'm Still Standing (Elton John-Live In Barcelona: 6/9/1984)

For the last couple of months, I've been getting myself organized for future uploads! Sadly, formulaonemad closed his channel due to numerous reasons, but has recently surfaced as "Elton Bootlegs." Although that has cleared his mind out, it has caused me to pick up the slack: I have to upload my shows, and re-upload his stuff! No worries--it's always fun to analyze shows and have different viewpoints on stuff! Before I start with my LONG to-do list, I have to upload this awesome show! This was recently uploaded onto DIME (by a very generous taper of that show), and has caused some nice discussions on Facebook: Many people have said great things about this show, and have compared it with the famous Wembley 1984 show! Some of the performances have been said to be stronger than the famous Wembley show (which is awesome in itself)! Although opinions may vary, one thing can be certain: This is a great show! The recording has decent quality, and is almost complete (there's a few s! light cuts)! The band play fantastic throughout the show (with Dee having fun with his bass on songs), and Elton is in superb shape! Highlights include "Hercules" (Elton sings it very aggressively, and hits strong B4s), "Rocket Man" (Elton does the "rocket ship phrasing" on some of the Bb4s, and the middle section is awesome), "Daniel" (one of the best versions ever), "Restless" (superb vocal delivery by Elton), "The Bitch Is Back," "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," "Sad Songs (Say So Much)," "Bennie ...
